DIPLOPTERYS CABRERANA

CHALIPONGA

PLANT FAMILY

MALPIGHIACEAE

Also known as Oco - yage and Chagropanga, this liana is cultivated all over the Amazon and has a good reputation for use in Ayahuasca brews. More widespread and potent than P.Viridis.

SHAMANIC USE
Amazon Indians boil 25g of shredded D.cabrerana leaves until water is brown, adding lemon juice to improve taste and release active ingredients, then strain & drink 30 minutes after ingestion of a MAO inhibitor herb like the ones below. Leaves are re-used several times. Click for more info.

50g shredded B.Caapi vines
2.5g - 5g powdered Peganum harmala seeds.

EFFECTS AND PROPERTIES
Similar to P.Viridis but more groggy & detached from reality, trippy traces can be seen. Click for trip reports.

ACTIVE CHEMICALS
DMT, 5-MeO-DMT & bufotenine when ingested are destroyed by the body’s mono amine oxidase (MAO) before it can reach the brain. The above-mentioned plants contain harmaline which prevents this from happening. Several types of Bufo toad secrete the same chemicals as D.cabrerana from their glands & skin.

LEGALITY
DMT, 5-MeO-DMT & bufotenine are class A drugs in isolation. Boiling, using D.cabrerana leaves may also be illegal. Above info is for interest, we sell for botanical research, identification only.
